- In town-level data, Califon submitted the most felt reports with 23, followed by Long Valley with 10, and reports also came from other towns, according to the USGS.
- The USGS notes that quakes at or below 3.0 are generally not damaging, and the 2.4 magnitude tremor is minor, causing weak, truck-like vibrations.
- Officials warn that more small quakes are possible in the coming weeks and months, as New Jersey was rattled by two quakes this month near Staten Island, New York.
