Nanaimo Judo Club is temporarily halting training after a structure fire damaged its dojo facility. Nanaimo Fire Rescue was called out to the building on the Sid Gyro Park site, at 110 Machleary St., before 5 a.m. on Saturday, July 11. Damage could be seen on parts of the building’s exterior, including part of the roof and the side of the building, as well as on the front stairs and entrance.
