EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) —  Fire crews are still searching and extinguishing heat along the southwestern corner of the Trout Fire on Thursday, July 3, the Gilas Las Cruces Type 3 Incident Management Team said in an update. The Trout Fire has stayed at 47,294 acres with 83 percent containment and under 300 personnel working on the fire. The cause of the fire has been ruled as lightning.
