E-sgoil pioneer recognised in New Year’s list​

​E-sgoil is one of the great successes to emanate from the Western Isles in recent years and Angus Maclennan, who has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours list, was at its helm from the outset until he retired in 2022. What he once described as “a local solution to a local problem” has become a major component of Scottish education.
