Duval’s election turnout modest; support for Angie Nixon overwhelming

Duval County has nearly equal numbers of registered Democrats and Republicans, and similar numbers turned out at the polls for the Aug. 18 primary. ​Turnout among registered voters totaled about 23%, including 28% of Democrats and 29% of Republicans, according to the supervisor of elections website.
