Dutch YouTube creators behind Alberta separatist videos getting millions of views
A number of accounts creating misleading YouTube videos about Alberta separatism with millions of views appear to have their origins in a Dutch digital marketing course, a CBC/Radio-Canada investigation has found.
The videos are animated by actors who pretend to be Canadian journalists.

Eric Szeto, et al., CBC News: CBC News identified three individuals in the Netherlands whose digital trail links them to accounts that hired actors to appear on the YouTube channels. Two of them attended the same online course that teaches customers how to create “faceless” YouTube channels that generate passive income for the creators, who remain in the shadows.
