During the European Capital of Culture, Nova Gorica saw almost three times more daily visitors than last year. An increase in overnight visits was also observed, with almost ten percent more overnight stays.

The Municipality of Nova Gorica and the Italian Municipality of Gorica recorded a third more tourist visits in the first six months of this year than last year, which the municipalities believe can be attributed to the events within the framework of the European Capital of Culture (ECC). In addition to the ECC events, the Square of Europe, the Kostanjevica Monastery and the Gorizia Castle attract the most attention.
