At approximately 2:46am on February 28th, 2026, California Highway Patrol officers, along with County Fire and Colton Fire crews, responded to a reported vehicle fire on the westbound 10 Freeway at the 215 interchange in Colton. Upon arrival, units located a fully involved sedan on the right shoulder of the freeway. A male, female, and multiple children were outside of the vehicle when crews arrived.
