Lucas Auer held the overall lead in the DTM with third place in the second race at the Nürburgring. On Sunday, the Mercedes driver only had to take the lead with the two German Rene Rast and Marco Wittmann (both BMW). Upper Austrian Thomas Preining became tenth in the Porsche. Auer leads in the classification with eight points ahead of the British Jack Aitken, to whom he had lost the lead after sixth place on Saturday.
