Russia hits Kyiv power grid before winter, killing four in overnight attack
Russia launched missiles and drones at Kyiv and nearby areas overnight, targeting energy infrastructure. The attack deepened fears of a winter campaign aimed at straining air defences and civilian life.
Electric power cuts were made today in Kyiv, announced the operator DTEK, after a Russian attack that had as main target, during the night and for the first time since last winter, energy infrastructures of the Ukrainian capital.
In an offensive anticipating the winter campaign, Russia launched about 190 missiles and drones against strategic energy installations and targets in and around the Kiev region, leaving five dead, including one child.
