Drug dealer on e-bike who killed great-grandfather is jailed
Dylan Green, sentenced to over eight years, caused a fatal crash while riding a stolen e-bike 41% faster than other traffic, prosecutors said.
- On Monday, at Preston Crown Court, Dylan Green was jailed for eight years and three months for causing death by dangerous driving after a wheelie crash that killed Bart O’Hare.
- Amid dangerous riding, Green performed a wheelie on Accrington Road shortly after 4.15pm on March 22 last year, court heard.
- In detailing the harm, prosecutor Philip Astbury said `Mr O’Hare was thrown into the air and died days later from head and chest injuries including a fractured skull.`
- Additionally, Green was disqualified from driving for 12 years and four months and received a concurrent 12-month sentence for supplying MDMA between July and October 2023.
- Speaking after the hearing, Marika Mausolf said 'You’ve broken my family' and Sergeant Paul McCurrie stated Green's reckless driving 'is not and never will be acceptable' in Burnley.
