Drought creeps across Kentucky at alarming rate

Severe drought has spread into far western counties as 65.31% of the state is now abnormally dry, the latest monitor shows.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (KT) – With the Spring planting season now underway, much oif Kentucky is experiencing drought or abnormally dry conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor Report that was issued on Thursday. Only 14.11 percent of the state is considered to have no drought.
