7,750 auto, taxi drivers fail Marathi proficiency test in Maharashtra, here's what they have to do next
State Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik on Wednesday said there will be no extension of the August 15 deadline for autorickshaw and taxi drivers to learn Marathi.
Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) organized this program in collaboration with literary organizations to learn Marathi. A total of 1.70 lakh applications were received for this program.
Rickshaw and taxi drivers have been made to speak Marathi, for which they were also given training to speak Marathi by August 15. However, this deadline has now expired, and action will begin from today.
