Nearly five months after their last meeting near Montreux, Switzerland, the Congolese government and the AFC/M23 met again this week. The delegations held discussions for almost seven days, away from public view. The objective: to try to revive a stalled peace process, while fighting continues on the ground. A joint communiqué is expected on August 22.
