The European Commission has backed a resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Thursday that Iran is failing to meet its nuclear commitments. Brussels also called on Tehran to cooperate with the agency and refrain from escalation.

In a dramatic decision amid reports of a planned Israeli attack, the IAEA's Board of Governors determined that Tehran had not met its commitments to nonproliferation of nuclear weapons. The decision is expected to go to the Security Council, with Tehran warning: We will build a new enrichment site. Iranian President: "We will rearm the nuclear sites if they are bombed"
