Supreme Court President Yitzhak Amit has appointed an expanded panel of judges to hear petitions against the Minister of National Security. The hearing in the High Court is expected to deal with the question of the Prime Minister's authority and duty to dismiss a minister, amid allegations of violation of police independence and misconduct by the minister.
Judge Yitzhak Amit removed Mintz, who is considered a conservative, and replaced Grosskoff, who is considered an activist, so that currently the activist judges have a majority in the panel that will discuss the dismissal of Minister Ben Gvir.
