Spanish police in the exclave of Ceuta have begun transferring hundreds of migrants to a new reception center in the port of Ceuta, Spanish media outlets such as RTVE and El País report. They were still sleeping on the beach, a month and a half after entering Ceuta.
Civil Guard started the operation at 6:30 a.m. but police reinforcement was required to stop the crowd starting to run.
The operation to relocate 1,800 people was launched early after the judicial approval of the National Court
