Downtown Lewiston Food Co-op to be hosting event at APL

Summary by Twin City Times
AUBURN, ME – The Lewiston Auburn Community Market bought the rights to the old police station building on 171 Park St in Lewiston and is replacing it with a community run and operated cooperative grocery store. On Friday, June 26th from 4:30 to 5:30 PM, board members and organizers of this project will be at the Auburn Public Library to give a short presentation with the focus on questions and answers and connecting with community members about the project. They want everyone to be a part of this, and have a say in what food they buy and serve to their families. Learn more about the project, how to get involved, and most importantly taste some of what they will have cooking at the market with their tasting menu. Finger food will be available, and this event is family friendly. This program will take place in the Androscoggin Community Room at the Auburn Public Library. For more information about this and other programs offered at the Auburn Public Library, visit their website at www.
