Stocks have moved mostly lower during trading on Tuesday, adding to the losses posted during last Friday's session. The major averages have all moved to the downside, with the Dow showing a particularly steep drop. Currently, the major averages are off their lows of the session but still in negative territory.

Dow Jones futures plunged more than 300 points after Brent crude oil prices surged to near $100 per barrel amid supply risks in the Middle East, increasing inflationary pressure. The market is also anticipating a 58.4% probability of the Fed raising interest rates by 0.25%, while awaiting the US CPI data on Friday.
