MasterCard added to list of modes of payment in MRT-3
MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila commuters can now pay their Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) fares directly using their MasterCards, debit and prepaid cards starting this Friday, the company announced.This can be done simply by tapping the cards at designated contactless turnstiles at MRT-3 stations.The new payment system also extends to MasterCard users with compatible e-wallets on NFC-enabled Android smartphones, said the company.
