Central Bank Governor Ida Wolden Bache and Norges Bank are making no changes to the key interest rate, but say cuts are still possible later this year.
Norges Bank's Monetary Policy and Financial Stability Committee decided at its meeting on 13 August to keep the key interest rate unchanged at 4.25 percent. There is uncertainty about the economic outlook, but if the economy develops roughly as the committee now envisages, the interest rate will be lowered further during the year.
