Don’t put expensive items at front of stores, Labour tells shopkeepers

Summary
Labour has told shopkeepers not to place “high value” items close to store entrances in an attempt to stop shoplifting. Dame Diana Johnson, the policing minister, said products such as bottles of alcohol should not be displayed at the front of stores because people will steal them.
