(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Lee Do-heun = Domestic companies saw significant improvements in growth and profitability in the second quarter of this year, with sales growth and operating profit margins recording all-time highs...
Domestic companies recorded an all-time high in profitability assessments, centered on the operating profit margin, during the second quarter. Growth indicators, including the sales growth rate, were also assessed as record highs on a quarterly basis. This is attributed to the favorable conditions in the semiconductor industry. This is according to the ‘Q2 Corporate Management Report’ released by the Bank of Korea on the 9th.
In the second quarter of this year, sales and operating profit margins of domestic external audit companies reached all-time highs, driven by the semiconductor boom. However, excluding Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, the overall operating profit margin of all companies fell sharply from 16.9% to 6.2%, indicating a very high dependence on specific companies.
The growth, profitability, and stability of domestic companies all improved in the second quarter of this year. Both sales growth rate and operating margin were the highest since the statistics were compiled.
