Dolph Lundgren Talks ‘History’s Greatest Machines’ & His Brother’s Very Different Life
The eight-part series explores inventions shaped by conflict, as Lundgren draws on his engineering background and family history.
On Monday, June 1, actor Dolph Lundgren debuts as host and executive producer of the eight-part series 'History's Greatest Machines With Dolph Lundgren' on the History Channel at 10/9c.
Many significant devices emerged from conflict, and Lundgren explores how humanity's darker impulses often sparked the brightest innovations throughout history.
The premiere episode, "Aerial Attackers," explores controlling the battlefield, while Lundgren describes the tension between destruction and progress in German wartime rocket technology that powered the Saturn V rocket and Apollo missions.
Future episodes include "Mission Critical," "Monster Machines," "Devices of Deception," and "Breakthrough Boats," continuing the examination of complex inventions that shaped world events.
Before playing Ivan Drago in Rocky, Lundgren left Sweden to study chemical engineering, drawing from his family background of engineers that shaped his unique perspective on innovation.
