DOJ launches ‘strike force’ to investigate Obama officials over 2016 election
UNITED STATES, JUL 24 – The Department of Justice formed a strike force following declassified documents and criminal referrals alleging Obama administration officials fabricated the Trump-Russia collusion narrative.
- The Department of Justice formed a strike force to investigate allegations that Obama officials manipulated intelligence to undermine Trump, targeting the Trump–Russia collusion narrative.
- Following declassified records from DNI Tulsi Gabbard, she states the documents directly point to President Obama leading the manufacturing of false intelligence, and the DOJ move follows her criminal referrals.
- The FBI is also investigating former CIA Director John Brennan, former FBI Director James Comey, and the DOJ's National Security Division will join the probe, as they face criminal referrals and testify they had no direct evidence of collusion.
- Attorney General Pam Bondi said, `We will investigate these troubling disclosures fully and leave no stone unturned to deliver justice`, while President Donald Trump said, `They did things that nobody's ever imagined, even in other countries`.
