Moment Stolen Puppies Are Reunited with Mum in Coney Weston
Two puppies were found and reunited with their mother after a burglary in Coney Weston, while two five-week-old Cavapoo puppies remain missing, Suffolk Police said.
- On Tuesday , a burglary at Simone Devorty's Thetford Road home in Coney Weston between 12.50pm and 2.50pm stole Mabel, a two-year-old King Charles Spaniel, and four five-week-old puppies.
- The cavapoo litter's age—five weeks—meant no microchips, complicating the search, while Mabel had been missing for more than 48 hours as Simone and neighbours shared posts.
- On Thursday Mabel was located dumped in a Wouldham garden about 110 miles from the theft site and was microchipped at a Sevenoaks vet, while two female pups were found in Sidcup by a man walking his dog and reunited with their mother.
- Suffolk Police have asked anyone offered an adult King Charles spaniel or four puppies to contact them, quoting reference 37/68284/25, while Simone Devorty and family appeal for the missing pups’ return.
- Social media amplified the search, with Canine Dip and Dive posts attracting more than 2 million hits, and one found pup, Belle, bought to an owner thrilled, while the mother dog required light sedation.
