A DNA test confirmed that Bernarda Rosalba Vera Contardo, militant of the Revolutionary Left Movement (MIR), is the woman located in the province of Buenos Aires, ending one of the most emblematic cases of the period of repression in Chile.

The case was detected by the National Search Plan in 2024. The teacher, a member of the MIR, was 27 years old in 1973 and her name appears on the official list of victims of the repression.
