Wokingham history under the hammer

A small part of Wokingham town centre history is set to come under the hammer next week. The monthly auction by Martin and Pole will feature a sign that was once part of the Woodworth store in Peach Street. Lot 110 is described at: “A projecting Woolworth shop sign from Peach Street, Wokingham, which closed on January 6, 2009.” The sign is estimated at between £200 and £300.
