4-Night Disney Adventure Cruise From Singapore Suddenly Cancelled, Guests to Receive Full Refunds
Passengers will get full refunds, a one-night hotel stay and up to US$500 in incidentals after Disney Cruise Line halted the voyage.
- On Friday, May 8, passengers aboard the Disney Adventure had to disembark after a mechanical issue forced cancellation of their five-day, four-night voyage from Singapore.
- The ship was scheduled to depart from Marina Bay Cruise Centre on May 7, but after waiting overnight, passengers were informed of the cancellation around 2:30 p.m. on May 8 via the public announcement system.
- US-Based Disney Cruise Line is providing all guests a full refund, a one-night hotel stay, up to $500 for incidental costs, and a 50 per cent discount for their next cruise booking.
- A Disney spokesperson apologized, stating the team is addressing the mechanical issue and providing direct support, while passenger Diana Tay, 34, awaited disembarkation instructions on Friday evening.
- The Disney Adventure, which has a capacity of up to 6,700 passengers, is scheduled to start its next journey on May 11, though it remains unclear if that sailing will be affected.
