A Muslim man was denied a job at Stockholm's public transport company, Stockholms Lokaltrafik (SL), after he made it clear that he put his Muslim faith ahead of Swedish values of gender equality. For example, he refused to shake hands with women. Now, however, the man has been sided by the Discrimination Ombudsman (DO). Misogyny in the workplace is therefore permissible – if religious reasons are cited.
