Sho Miyake's 'Tabi to Hibi' Wins Top Prize at Locarno Film Festival

Sho Miyake's film depicts a playwright rethinking her life and is the first Japanese winner of the Golden Leopard since 2007, festival officials said.

On the 16th, director Miyake Sho's "Travels and Days" won the top prize in the International Competition section at the Locarno International Film Festival held in southern Switzerland. According to the Japanese distribution company, this is the first time in 18 years that a Japanese director has won the award. Miyake is from Sapporo. Miyake said, "I'm very happy with this film."
