The local government of Dapitan City has embarked on a major project to build a new Public Market, after purchasing and paying for 1.4 hectares of land located in Barangay Linabo on August 29, 2025, worth Php32,700,000.00, including all fees and paperwork. The said move was made possible after the City Development Council (CDC) approved on August 15, 2025 the Reprogramming and Allocation of Funds to secure the Budget for the said Project.
