Nicolas Altmayer, Beloved French Producer Behind ‘OSS 117,’ and Dior Executive Mathilde Favier Die in Car Crash
Authorities opened an involuntary manslaughter investigation after the crash killed producer Nicolas Altmayer and Dior executive Mathilde Favier, officials said.

- Altmayer was a prominent independent producer behind the 'OSS 117' franchise and films by François Ozon and Bertrand Bonello, while Favier served as director of public relations for Dior Couture, managing VIP relations with celebrities including Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence.
- LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault called Favier "an exceptional woman whose communicative joy, talent and loyalty were exemplary." Filmmaker Franck Gastambide described Altmayer as his mentor, saying "For 15 years, he was not only my producer but also my mentor, the father I would have wanted to have."
- Deputy prosecutor Nicolas Leclainche told AFP their vehicle "hit a heavy goods vehicle" while overtaking another. An investigation for involuntary manslaughter has been opened to determine the crash's circumstances.
- Altmayer leaves a legacy of films by François Ozon and Bertrand Bonello, while Favier founded Esthétique & Cancer and published the 2024 book Living Beautifully in Paris as a personal guide to the French capital.
