Heat waves and 90-degree days: A hot summer in Massachusetts
CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - This summer has been hot and humid with western Massachusetts on track to finish once again with an above-average summer when it comes to temperatures. So far, there have been three confirmed heat waves, which are three or more days in a row of high temperatures at 90 degrees or more. In total, since May, there have been 17 days with high temperatures above 90 degrees. WEATHER ALERT: Strong to severe thunderstorms…

Have you felt it? Temperatures this summer have reached extreme levels. A new study by Climate Change reveals that there are hundreds of cities in the United States that have had several consecutive days with extreme temperatures. It turns out that it has been a somewhat unusual summer season. “I come on vacation and that’s where I come from it’s hot and here it’s worse, it’s horrible!” said one tourist.
