Central China's Henan witnesses heaviest rainfall in 60 years; 12 deaths reported

At least 12 people died from torrential rains in Central China's Henan Province, as of Tuesday, as the region witnesses its heaviest rainfall in 60 years.

Dhangadhi witnesses 200mm rainfall in last 24 hrs

Sudurpashchim Province's temporary capital, Dhangadhi, witnessed 200mm rainfall in the last 24 hours. According to the Mahakali Basin Chief Engineer at Attaria, Sanjay Kumar Sah, this is the first time in this monsoon that Dhangadhi saw such an amount of precipitation. The rainfall started in Dhangadhi from Sunday afternoon. "But heavy rainfall occurred since 4 AM today morning" Engineer Sah said, "Rainfall will decrease from tonight."
