NWS: Tornado near Detroit Lakes preliminarily rated EF-2
DETROIT LAKES, MINN. – Monday night’s tornado that caused extensive damage near Detroit Lakes has been preliminarily rated an EF-2 tornado. According to the National Weather Service’s damage survey, the tornado had estimated peak winds of 115 miles per hour, with a path length of more than six miles and a width of 800 yards.
