Despite threat of rain, Summer Sounds by Brophy concert draws large crowd

ALEXANDRIA — Tuesday's weather brought some uncertainty for the first concert in the Summer Sounds by Brophy series hosted by the Alexandria Rotary Club. Although there was rain earlier in the day, concert goers didn't end up needing umbrellas or raincoats that evening. The Ladyslippers, a local band from Alexandria, was the opening act.
