Despite COPD, B.C. senior still reaching for the top with 1,000th hill climb

Larry Plummer, 77, is set to complete his 1,000th climb up the Antenna Trail this Saturday, despite his Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease diagnosis.
Plummer was inspired to reach 1,000 climbs after witnessing Art Benzer's 80th birthday ascent of the trail in 2018.
Each climb now takes Plummer about two and a half hours, nearly double the time it once did.
Benzer will wait for Plummer at the bottom with Werther’s candy, showing support for his friend's milestone.
