- Responders undertook an hour-and-a-half-long operation to carry Cronin's body up the rugged cliffside trail back to Kelingking Beach viewing area. The difficult evacuation followed a failed attempt to recover her by sea.
- A Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade spokesperson confirmed the Australian government is providing consular assistance to the family. Authorities note swimming at the site, often called T-Rex Bay, is banned due to dangerous currents.
