DEQ testing water in Hominy to see if boil order can be lifted

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) went to Hominy on Tuesday and is testing the water to see if a boil order can be lifted.

The Department of Environmental Quality was back in Hominy this week and have completed everything that needs to be done in order to move forward with hopefully getting the town's mandatory boil order lifted. Five samples have been collected and sent to Stillwater. If tests come back positive, the mandatory boil order could be lifted on Friday.
