Deputies in pursuit of possible carjacking suspect in northwest Miami-Dade

- The man had been brought to the facility on West 68th Street for a mental health evaluation under a Baker Act order but fled shortly after arriving, officials said.
- Hialeah Police Department spokesman Eddie Rodriguez said, "The suspect approached a female victim exiting her vehicle and forced himself inside her car and fled the scene."
- As he fled in the vehicle, he struck another car; authorities pursued the suspect and took him into custody following the chase in Hialeah.
- Police confirmed no injuries were reported during the incident, and investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the escape and carjacking.
