Delta unveils custom aircraft to carry Team USA to 2026 Winter Games

Inside Delta's TechOps hangar in Atlanta, the airline revealed a custom Airbus A350 to carry Team USA athletes, families and fans to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina.
The livery was four years in the making and marks the airline's first major aircraft redesign in more than 30 years, created by Delta employee Alex Brennon.
The plane's exterior features 26 stripes symbolizing the 2026 Games and flowing lines inspired by Italian landscapes, while inside Delta installed fully flat beds, wireless charging, and specialized lighting.
Amy Purdy, three-time Paralympian and Delta ambassador, attended the unveiling and said she plans to travel to Italy to support Team USA, noting Opening Ceremony moments stay with athletes long after competition.
Delta has a history of custom Olympic aircraft, having introduced bespoke planes for Beijing 2021 and Paris 2024, continuing its fleet strategy ahead of the 2026 Winter Games in Italy.
