A shocking incident has emerged from Delhi's Nihal Vihar area, where a 31-year-old software engineer, Vinay Gupta, was brutally beaten to death allegedly by his in-laws. The tragedy unfolded in Lakshmi Park following a minor domestic altercation between the victim and his wife. Following the argument, the woman called her family members to their home. Upon arrival, the victim’s in-laws—including his father-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and sister-in-law—launched a violent physical assault on Vinay. According to the victim's grieving parents, they initially offered water to the visitors, expecting a peaceful conversation. Instead, the assailants dragged Vinay, pinned him to the bed and floor, and violently choked him. When his parents attempted to intervene and save their only son, they were aggressively pushed aside, resulting in a fractured thumb for his father. Vinay was rushed to a nearby hospital by his family and neighbors, but he succumbed to his severe internal injuries during transit and treatment. Vinay was employed as a software engineer at Adobe and had been married for just 3.5 years. He is survived by his elderly parents and 4.5-month-old twin babies, leaving the entire family devastated. The victim's mother alleged that the family had previously received threats from the in-laws, which they had ignored until this horrific attack.
