Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez announced on Saturday her first trip to Europe, saying she would travel to The Hague for a session of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), AFP reported. The ICJ is ruling on a dispute between Venezuela and Guyana over the Essequibo region, which Caracas claims.

Guyana and Venezuela have a fight that dates back to the 1800s. Rodríguez will represent Venezuela before the International Court of Justice.

Delcy Rodríguez announced this Saturday that he will travel in the next few hours to “defend” Venezuela’s rights, in the midst of the hearings held before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the territorial dispute between Venezuela and Guyana over the Esequibo.
