Two senior officers of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Yuri Zakharenko and Lieutenant Colonel Mikhail Baranov, have begun to be tried in Moscow on charges of abuse of authority in fulfilling a state defense order, the newspaper learned. We are talking about supplying Guardian kits to protect the weapons rooms, which did not contain the necessary parts. The damage was estimated at the full amount of the contract — 299 million rubles.
