Decree Extension Period to Recognize Years Worked Before BPS

The Government extended until 31 May 2026 the period for persons aged 60 years or older to apply for recognition of their work prior to April 1996. If, as at 1 June 2023, a person was 60 years of age or older and periods of work were not declared, Act No. 20,130 of 2 May 2023 provides that, until 31 May 2025, he has time to provide the data required by the Social Security Bank (BPS), including the presentation of witnesses.
