Inflation in Germany slowed more sharply than expected in December after two months of stagnation, reaching its lowest level in a year 2025 in which price increases have been brought under control, according to provisional figures published Tuesday.
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, energy prices in particular rose, pushing inflation in Germany to almost nine percent.
