A 21-year-old Nepalese Sherpa has died after falling into a crevasse on Mount Everest near Camp C3 at an altitude of around 7,200 meters, Nepalese authorities said today, the third death on the mountain in two weeks.
Death toll reaches 5 on Everest, Makalu massif
The death toll across Nepal's spring climbing season has reached five, with three fatalities recorded on Mt. Everest and one each on Mt. Makalu and Makalu II, as a record number of climbers press toward summit bids on the world's highest peaks.
