An indictment has been prepared in the "fake diploma" investigation launched against Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was suspended from duty as part of the corruption investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. The prosecutor's office requested that İmamoğlu be sentenced to 8 years and 9 months in prison for "serial forgery of official documents."
