Deal reached with StubHub on ticketing practices for Vancouver Taylor Swift concerts

StubHub agreed to improve ticket disclosure and offer refunds for obstructed view seats to Taylor Swift Vancouver concertgoers, paying $2,500 to the Consumer Advancement Fund.

  • On March 11, 2026, Consumer Protection BC reached a legally-enforceable agreement with StubHub Canada after a complaint and investigation.
  • A complainant alleged StubHub sold tickets without disclosing obstructed views for Swift's Vancouver concerts on Dec. 6, 7 and 8, 2024 in sections 219–236, 336 and 418–437.
  • Under the agreement, StubHub must improve disclosure of face value, fees, service charges, terms and refund guarantees in line with B.C.'s Ticket Sales Act, which requires full cost disclosure and refunds if tickets do not match descriptions.
  • StubHub will contact eligible purchasers directly by May 1, 2026, and affected buyers may be eligible for refunds, according to the company’s agreement.
  • The settlement includes a $2,500 payment to the Consumer Advancement Fund and payment of more than $6,000 in inspection costs to Consumer Protection BC.
